Counseling & Psych Services at Campus Health makes getting mental health support easier through Care Pathways: no cost* comprehensive mental health care that works together.

CAPS Care Pathways are designed with students in mind and created by CAPS professionals, guided by student feedback and data, best practices in mental healthcare, and the collective expertise of the CAPS staff. Built around common student concerns like anxiety, depression, stress, and life outside of the classroom, Care Pathways are flexible and can be customized for each student.

“Students want to know what to expect from mental health care, like the 360-degree tour. Care Pathways demystifies mental health and makes the whole process of seeking support easier. When students see themselves reflected in the services offered and can picture themselves there, they’re more likely to use them. This means accessing the supports that will help them feel better, more confident, more connected, and get the most out of their time at the university,” said Dr. Leslie Ralph, Assistant Director at CAPS.

Through Care Pathways, students can learn skills, connect with peers, and receive individual support and specialty care. CAPS Care Pathways Services include:

  • Mental Health Foundations: One-hour, single-session workshops on a range of key topics facilitated by a CAPS provider.
  • Mental Health Connections Groups Weekly group counseling sessions facilitated by a CAPS counselor with 4-10 peers with similar goals and concerns.
  • Mental Health Counseling & Consultation: 1:1 counseling and personalized recommendations for your care scheduled as needed with a CAPS counselor.
  • Specialized Care: additional services that may be recommended by your CAPS provider, including care coordination, couples counseling, specialized assessment, survivor support, ADHD evaluation ($), IOP ($), LGBTQIA2S+ (medical and mental health, some cost associated), and psychiatry ($).
  • Wellbeing Add-Ons: programs and activities that can be used on their own or added to any pathway

Students can self-schedule many services through PatientLink or by calling CAPS at 520-621-3334. CAPS providers can help with referrals when needed. Students can also access same-day crisis support by calling CAPS 24/7 or dropping in CAPS North or South during crisis drop-in hours

* The majority of CAPS services are no cost for main campus students. Late cancellation and missed appointment fees for may apply for all CAPS services.
