Norovirus on Campus


Tips to reduce your risk:

  • Wash your hands
  • Don’t share drinks, food, utensils
  • Don’t share towels
  • Wash down common areas with lysol wipes

If you have symptoms of nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea:

  • Sip (don’t chug) fluids frequently *If you’re throwing up the fluids, try taking a sip every 5 -10 minutes
    - Dry, flat soda
    - Water
    - Diluted Gatorade
  • Suck on ice chips
  • Eat plain bread, crackers, dry cereal

Come in to see Campus Health if:

  • You are dehydrated and can’t keep fluids or food down
  • You have bloody vomit or diarrhea
  • You have other serous medical conditions
