Clinician, Mental Health, Clinical Care Coordinator

Amy is a Clinician and Clinical Care Coordinator in CAPS who provides counseling, triage, and care coordination. She earned a Bachelor's of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Arizona. Amy has worked as a provider and supervisor in a variety of settings including outpatient counseling agencies, prevention programs, educational settings, and as a mobile team crisis clinician in Pima County. She uses a variety of therapeutic approaches tailored to meet the needs of students coping with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, adjustment and stress, relationship issues, addictions, and crisis. Amy is trained in Eye Movement Desentization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and uses this technique to assist in the health of the effects of major and minor trauma.  She enjoys working with people of all ages and cultures, and she strives to help students improve their lives through coping skills, self-discovery, mindfulness, and enhancement of internal and environmental support.
