2009-2010

Post Doctoral Fellows, Visiting Scholars, J1 Interns and their dependents are eligible to enroll onto the Student Health Insurance under the following circumstances.

Must enroll within 30 days of the qualifying event

Important: DOS requires that J1 Visiting Scholars check-in with our office upon arrival and have insurance in place by the start of their program.

• New Appointment
• Program start date
• Involuntary loss of coverage

Required Documentation:

• Completed Application
• If applicable: Domestic Partnership Affidavit
• Documentation of status & duration of stay or DS/2019

Renewal Notices: Each major semester (fall & spring) our office mails out "Open Enrollment" notices to current subscribers. J1 Visiting Scholars are notified by email.
