Finding
Help
You
do not need to face this alone. What is happening to you is not
your fault. More often than not, seeking support from others is
helpful. In addition to the Oasis Program and other community agencies,
trusted friends or family can provide emotional and physical support.
You are not alone.
If
you are a UA student, faculty or staff member you can seek
services at the Oasis Program on campus or you can contact services
in the community (see below) or on
line. As a campus resource, the Oasis Program can assist you
in identifying a myriad of other campus agencies that may be helpful
to you in increasing your safety and decreasing the negative impacts
of stalking.
For
example, the Oasis Program can help you advocate for making changes
in your class schedule or residence hall appointment. We offer academic
advocacy, safety planning, and review of your options as a victim
of stalking. We also offer counseling for those who are experiencing
the emotional effects of living with fear and self-doubt that often
occurs when someone is being stalked. These services are
free and confidential.
If
you are not a UA student, faculty or staff member there are a number
of community options and websites that are available to you.
Do
not stay silent about what is happening. Tell other people you are
being stalked! Know your options.
